2011 :))

Souce: FashionFever

Here's to starting over, a new year, a clean slate.

To all the pain 2010 has brought, thank you for making me stronger.
To all the Joy 2010 has brought, thank you for making me a thankful person.
To all the friends 2010 has brought together, thank you for the wonderful times spent together.
To all the friends 2010 has drifted us apart, you've always played a part in helping me to be who I am now.

2010 hasn't exactly been the best year of my life, with major immediate family changes we have to adapt to and still are adapting to, I guess all I have to say is with every set backs present, there's always a purpose and reason for it. "there may yet be hope"

To the family members and cousins around rendering moral support during this period of time, thank you for being around us, instilling in me that family are always the one we can find comfort in, in times of need.  Needless for words of encouragement or advice to be spoken but yet your presences has already made me stronger.

To my dearest darling Alex, thank you for yet again walking through another year with me, the future is brighter in 2011, with SOT starting, a whole new chapter in our lives unfolding.  Having great faith in all that's ahead of us.

May 2011 be the best year yet for us all :)

Eve of NYE, MBS!

Those who have me on my Facebook already knew the eventful day I had yesterday, boy was I happy I took the half day off from work to spend time with my cousins and aunt :D

Went Shimbashi Soba Restaurant, Paragon for lunch..if you wanna have best of both set lunch and the high tea set offers, then start arriving at 2:15pm to join the queue.

What's nice about them is that you get to order while you're in the queue, the set meals cost about $18++ which includes a variation of medium portion don to choose from, medium portion soba(hot/cold), a small portion of salad.
While the High tea set costs about $10++ to choose from 6 different kinds of desert, 5 different California handroll and a drink.

Didn't take any photos cos' we were all starving!

My family does all sortsa funny things, it's not the average kinda family you'd expect; like the previous post, singing Christmas carols and being so enthusiastic bout it, my godfather printing songsheets and going the extend of repeating the song over and over again in the car on the eve of C'mas eve so that we can all be familiarized with how the song goes.

One more other tradition that I'm gonna introduce to you next is kinda quirky I must say.....we have an annual post Christmas shopping trip with Aunt Sally and the girl cousins to buy Lingeries!

Jen spotted something really funny and I tweeted this:

"what do you(girls only) say when you've found the perfect inner fit?"
Right?? I know Right?? CHEESEY EEE EEE..
We had a really good laugh at this.  The high rolled eyes and the hands are just priceless.

Girls as fickle as we are, walked from Paragon to Wisma to Tangs to Metro back to Paragon to finally find the perfect design and fit, taking about another hour in and out of the changing room with 5 or more designs in our hands in search for the two right one...
Little did we know that all the walking was good exercise for the sinful feast that is to come...

Marina Bay Sands, Chocolate Bar for dinner!  Oh the Joy..My face slowly turned into the above illustration..

Of all days, it has to be yesterday, I forgot to bring my ST500 out! Boooo to all the lousy quailty pictures from my Ipod Touch and BB.

Liquored Chocolate
These babies are Da Bombs!  Partially melt the entire piece in you mouth for a second and press the tube, a mini explosion of liquor will make a perfect marriage with the choc.
Jez enjoying every bit of it. Every child fantasy meal. Chocolate for dinner
Babey came to join in the fun
One and a half servings was all it takes to feel guilty, we down loadsa pots of TWG tea to wash off the sweet after taste that stays on the palate.

Oki, enough with my wordy post, more of MBS' beauty

The siblings playing around in the room
opening the wrong door
MBS staffs nonsense scribblings..sure..I'd gladly open the doors anytime.
I'll be back soon with better Pictures, for now just make do with these really embarrassing lousy quality pictures.

LASTLY, HAVE AN EPIC NEW YEAR Y'ALL!

MORE UPDATES COMING UP IN 2011 :)

Post-Christmas

Wouldn't it be so nice if we've had the entire 12 days of Christmas off!
A whole lot of C'mas party to host and attend, gifts exchanging and endless turkeys & hams to have.

Christmas wouldn't be complete if there wasn't any annual celebration with the family and close family friends at my Godparent's place on the Eve.

Everyone feasting and merry making, the cousins sitting on the stairs talking and joking among each other, kids running about try'na occupy themselves till the big countdown starts.
My godfather printed songsheets to sing along to his favorite C'mas song
The things my family does together...
Jet & Jez searching to see if there's anymore presents they've left out under the tree
That's what the older cousins would have done when we were their age..now we just sit back and wait for the presents to land on our laps, be very glad when we get 2 or more gifts.

And as we get older, its quality over quantity..
I've gotten an entire range of Crabtree & Evelyn products from my Godmum and I'm not even complaining.  Time for some skin pampering!!

Our latest addition to the Goh family. Baby Jean!
Vicky's seriously awesome lip smacker. I want one!

Ohh and my color contact lenses came in on the 25th Dec!
it's my first try on color contacts, I know..very mountain tortoise!

I kept asking Geraldine, thlens-market owner, what color suits me, which lens better?, is it soft lens? and she was so patient answering what seems to be noobish questions no one would ever ask.
And finally I've got myself a pair of lens Ash Wing in Grey and Magic Color(2 tone) in Blue
Got myself an Ash Wing. Oo! didn't see that it was designed for a Jap model.
Best of all it's so affordable, to stay chic.  Each pair of GEO lens cost only $12, Buy 2 pairs or more at only $11 per pair.  Go pick one out now for the New Year!
*There's always different promos, so check back on her website to get the latest one.

Ger wrapped it all up so nicely like a Christmas gift, she even secured the bottles together with Hello Kitty tapes!  The little details she would look into to ensure our lenses get safety delivered.

Tried on the other night cos' I was all vain, I'd probably need some getting used to the lenses.

What Diet?

If you haven already know, when there is yummy food the word "diet" will never appear in my dictionary, unless I've had too much and start putting myself on a guilt trip.

Hence, I'll never be that average five footer with a swanky petite body.. I don't know? does every *'fun-sized' girls experience the same problem as me?  I put on way too fast, and if I'm discipline on my food intake I can shed some extras pretty fast too.  Forever a hassle..
* stop laughing at that word...I'M NOT SHORTTTT!

Alex and I just love checking food places out, especially those out of the ordinary, quirky places or a modern cafe-restaurant still fairly undiscovered or just anywhere that serves delish dishes.

For that, we went to this quaint little spot unaffected by its usual human traffic on Tuesday.  Alex has been all secretive bout this place.
The location? I'll leave that for you to guess..somewhere unexpected..along the NEL line.

While you crack that brain...
It's so small that there's only Alfresco Dinning with acoupla tables and chairs
got all excited till I forgot to snap a pic of their menu.
Design your own meal by choosing a staple, the mains and the sauce to go with.
Babe said that the Chilli Crab Sauce was 'so-so' only.

Shade the droplet to mix and create a blend of your own.
We choose......Sky Juice...
Haha! too worried that we'll get too creative with the mix. Opt for a safer choice.
Love their tag lines all over their cutlery and utensils. Especially the one above, like they've modernized the old saying "customers always right".
Food served in a paper box
And no the food didn't leave the box all soggy like I thought it would. Some non stick high-tech whatever I won't even know how to explain to you.  Just enjoy the food.
Alex's Chicken Ham with Japanese Rice and Cream Sauce
My Portobello Mushrooms with Pasta topped over with Tomato based sauce
Our Nommmss
Satisfied my Gastronomical Tantrums
Love how it is tucked in a little quiet corner of busy Little India (there you go..Yes its in LITTLE INDIA..unexpected or unexpected?)
When you find out where exactly it is, Please please please don't go spamming that place okay not?..hush hush a little while more, cos it is so quiet and cozy I don't even feel like I'm in Singapore when I'm there.  And its too small to accommodate a whole lot of people.

The food they serve are pretty satisfying, considering the fact that they're operating in sucha small space.  Our whole bill added up to be $24 for 2 pax, no GST nor service charge.

Will be back again!

Babe had his hands on some awesome deal of hats he got from shopping after dinner
IMO the 'ah pek' hat looks best

Is Christmas Here Yet?

I Photoshop this! so fun to do text with image.
Just 4 days more to Christmas..
And I've already received 4 gifts thus far!

One. A pair of shorts from mumsie
Two. A Green Tea shower gel - skin Pharmacy from Sunday's exchange gift
Three. A ribbon print dress from Cher!
Four. A bracelet from Kenneth

All the gifts at Cellie's exchange gift session
Didn't manage to snap much pictures from Christmas cg cos I was sneezing and running a cold, my hands were all busy grabbing tissues after tissues.  Was feeling woozy half way through but glad I made it there.

Feeling so blessed already, can't wait for the annual Christmas celebration on the 24th at my Godparents' place.
All thy home-cooked food! Turkey, pumpkin soup, hams, pies and all things yummy!
The dieting will be put off for this time of the year :)
And definitely the warm gatherings with my family. Christmas' the best time of the year.

Candlelight Service
The splendor of an entire hall of thousands of people lighting each others' candles, singing carols and taking tonnes of pictures. Not forgetting what Christmas is all about.

(early half of 2010)
(end of 2010)
I miss my long tresses, always had them that way, until I crazily chop them off.
That's Wany's QQ, he's sucha charming bowwow.

---------------------
Hey 2010, are you in some kinda rush?

I don't know how we've come to the month of December this fast, it's like I've slumbered in the entire year and finally woken up.

So, apart from any apparent happenings that took placed the past two months, the rest just seemed so unreal.

Haven really felt like myself after all that has happened in my family, kinda feel like I've pushed my threshold of pain to a whole new level I didn't have before. Didn't had enough time to cry or retreat into a hide out, all I knew was to be seen as strong when really inside I was just crumbling.

While I wouldn't think it'll be good to put on a pretense, but it seemed like it worked well.
I smiled when I most wanted to cry, slowly it may be, but those forced smile wry back to its most natural curve.

Surely it does :)
